Certification isn’t always necessary, but it does have the potential to help you boost your career. In the United States, paralegals can become certified through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA). These organizations both offer paralegal certification exams that will show your current and potential employers that you are well prepared for your job.

One of the best parts of becoming a paralegal is your ability to work in lots of different settings.
